Fisher was born in Hampstead, London in 1931 and lived in the Stamford area for the remaining years of her vibrant life.
Her lifelong interest in collecting antiques, art and jewellery developed during her very first job working at the well renowned Courtauld Institute of Fine Arts. Her interest was predominantly for early English, continental antiques and jewellery, which is very apparent when she began buying artworks and objet d’art, curating her enviable collection over the years, and expanding on her wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Fisher was an incredibly stylish woman, with a discerning taste, and this is exemplified in the notable collection of jewellery she acquired during her life, together with very desirable Georgian examples. The pieces within the collection are varied in design, period and value, and include an exceptional diamond studded bracelet of the Art Deco period, a beautiful gemset and diamond Georgian brooch, a selection of 19th century mourning jewellery, and an artisan contemporary designed 18ct white gold and diamond ring.
Stamford Auction Rooms have the great pleasure of selling her collection at auction on the 11th November, on behalf of her family.
