The end of May sees two fabulous auctions for Stamford Auction Rooms.

As the sun begins to shine, and temperatures rise, Stamford Auction Rooms are heralding the start of summer with a specialist Garden sale to coincide with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Friday May 27th.  Already entered into the sale are statuary, lead and stone planters, garden furniture, sundials, bird baths and garden features, including a stunning lead figural fountain.  The top circular fluted bowl is supported by a Classical putto above a wide bowl with dolphin fish supports reminiscent of Vulliamy’s Victoria Embankment lamps by Masefield and Co. And what better way to sit and enjoy your garden than on a fabulous Morgan, Macaulay and Wade bench, decorated with pastoral figures representing the four seasons, circa 1870, this is an example of high Victorian design. There is sure to be something for everyone in this sale with antiques and collectables following on.

Just a day later, on Saturday May 28th Stamford Auction Rooms will be holding one of their flagship Jewellery, Silver and Watches sales.  With a reputation for fine jewellery and building on their expertise with 18th and 19th century examples, this sale looks to be a fabulous opportunity for the collector and connoisseur alike to find a statement piece.  Georgian jewellery is rare to find, but with fantastic results for clients from their recent April specialist sale, Stamford Auction Rooms has attracted further unusual and stunning examples for this May sale.

Victorian and later pieces will also shine in this sale with modern designer, beautifully set rings and costume jewellery to suit every taste and pocket, as well as interesting silver.

Entries are still just open for both auctions for another week, so do pop along to Stamford Auction Rooms with your items and our friendly team will assist you.  Viewing for both sales is on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th May from 10am until 5pm.
