From Antiquities through to Modern, the variety offered by this department is wide ranging in terms of date and style which makes for a very interesting collecting field.
Our most recent private collection of bronze figurines were of the Art Deco period, and included examples by the well renowned Josef Lorenzl, Marcel Andre Bouraine, Dimitri Chiparus, Pierre LeFaguay and Eugène André Oudine.
Early Italian bronzes are highly sought after, as demonstrated in The Veal Collection when a small bronze lion on a marble plinth saw several telephone and multiple online bidders fighting it out until the last bid of £6,000 was made. The bronze, although unsigned was thought to be an 18th century example by Giovanni de Bologna.
