Antiques, Fine Collectables & The Chelsea Garden Auction
Four late 19th century Chinese export hand painted panels, mounted as a four fold screen, each measuring 133 by 46cm, with the wooden frame 142cm high. [For a very similar screen,see that photographed in the Drawing Room, Brodick Castle in the late 19th century and early 20th century, the panels are also comparable to sets on the wall of the Chinese Room at Carton House in County Kildare, Ireland as featured in Emile de Bruijn, Chinese Wallpaper In Britain and Ireland, London, 2018, p.81-7]
