An early 20th century Taxidermy Snowy Owl, full mount adult with head turning to the right, glass eyes perched on top mounted on a grit covered mound enclosed beneath a large period glass dome with original ebonised base, 65 by 31cm.

Please note that worked items manufactured before 1947, such as taxidermy, that have not been reworked since are exempt from the need of an A10 certificate, CITES appendix I Annex A (Exempt.)

Condition Report

Good overall condition with no obvious damage to the eye. The glass dome is in good condition with no obvious signs of cracks or chips. The base of the glass dome has a slightly rough edge to it. Feathers and features of the owl are in good condition. The base and other areas are in good condition and look to have no obvious areas of loss. The rope surrounding the base of the dome is slightly loose.
