A matched Continental and English silver gilt dessert service comprising nine dessert forks, nine dessert spoons, nine teaspoons, twenty-four dessert knives with English silver hallmarks, silver weight without knives 1266g, one Dutch silver salt spoon, the remainder are not silver and have pseudo French marks, all pieces are engraved R beneath an earl's coronet, in a fitted mahogany and brass case, the oval plaque engraved with inscription to Field Marshall Earl Roberts of Kanahar 1912.
