At Stamford Auction Rooms, we are always proud to lend our gavel to good causes—but some events feel especially close to home. The recent charity auction in support of Deepings Community Library was one such occasion: a truly heartwarming evening that brought together community spirit, generosity, and a shared commitment to preserving a vital local resource.

Hosted by Jessica Wall, founder and auctioneer at Stamford Auction Rooms, and organised by Judy Stevens of I'd Rather Be in Deeping Magazine, the event welcomed 80 guests, including the esteemed Chairman of Lincolnshire County Council (LCC). The atmosphere was one of warmth and enthusiasm from the outset, with attendees united in their support for the library and all it represents to the Deepings community.

Deepings Community Library is more than just a place to borrow books—it is a hub of learning, connection, and opportunity. In an age where such spaces are increasingly under pressure, the importance of safeguarding them cannot be overstated. This made the evening’s efforts all the more meaningful.

Taking to the rostrum, Jessica brought her signature energy and expertise to the room, guiding bidders through a carefully curated selection of lots. From the first call to the final hammer, the room was alive with competitive spirit and generosity. Bidding was lively, with guests fully embracing the opportunity to contribute while enjoying the thrill of the auction experience.

Thanks to the incredible support of everyone in attendance, the evening raised over £3,000 for Deepings Community Library—a fantastic achievement that will go directly towards supporting its continued operation and community initiatives.
